Frequently Asked Questions

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes, we are currently accepting new patients at our medical clinic in Yakima! Please contact us to set up your first appointment or to discuss your medical care with one of our health providers.

What insurances do you accept?

We accept most insurance plans. We do not provide motor vehicle accident related care nor do we accept labor and industry claims. We have our own in-house laboratory. If you are interested in becoming a patient, stop by the office and pick up a packet, or download the New Patient Packet, then fill it out and return it to the Best Practices office.

April 20, 2022: We are temporarily NOT accepting new patients with Medicaid, Medicare or Tri-Care, as those panels are currently full.

Does Best Practices see children?

Absolutely! Our clinicians office loves working with children, especially adolescents. Best Practices provides all aspects of family care for patients of all ages with the exception of obstetrics (care of the pregnant patient).

Who will take care of me if I am hospitalized?

It is now common practice in our community to receive Hospital care from either Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital (Memorial Hospital) or Astria Regional Medical Center. During your hospital stay and upon leaving the hospital we receive your medical records, updating us on your care while you were hospitalized.

What if I have an urgent care need?

If patients have an emergency, they should call 911 and/or go to either hospital's emergency room for urgent care.
